BlueOptics DEM-431XT-BO is an SFP+ fiber optic transceiver designed for short-range multimode links. It supports a maximum data rate of 10 000 Mbit/s over an 850 nm wavelength and connects via an LC duplex connector. The silver-coloured, RoHS-compliant module is intended for SFP+ interfaces in switches, servers and other network equipment and is supplied as a single unit weighing approximately 20 g.
The BlueOptics DEM-431XT-BO provides 10GBase-SR class short-range multimode fiber connectivity with a compact SFP+ form factor. Compliance with SFP+ MSA electrical and mechanical specifications ensures interoperability with compatible network hardware. The module’s 850 nm optics and LC duplex interface enable simultaneous transmit and receive on a two-fiber multimode link. RoHS compliance and a lightweight silver housing make it suitable for standard data center and enterprise deployments.
This transceiver is optimized for short-range multimode operation at 850 nm and is specified for distances up to around 300 m over suitable multimode fiber. It is not appropriate for long-distance single-mode fiber links or applications requiring wavelengths other than 850 nm. Compatibility depends on the host device supporting generic SFP+ optics; some vendors restrict or require specific firmware for third-party modules.
Install the DEM-431XT-BO into an available SFP+ slot on a compatible switch, server or network device until it latches. Connect LC duplex multimode fiber patch cords—observe correct transmit/receive orientation—and verify link status through the host device indicators or management interface. Ensure the host hardware supports the use of third-party SFP+ modules and, if available, enable digital diagnostic monitoring in the device to read real-time parameters where supported.
For optimal performance, use high-quality multimode fiber patch cords and maintain clean LC connectors. Validate link parameters after installation and, where available, monitor optical power, temperature and supply voltage through the host’s diagnostics to detect degradation early. When interoperating with vendor-specific equipment, test a single module first to confirm compatibility before wide deployment.
