This BlueOptics SFP+ module follows MSA standards and is engineered for compatibility with major vendor hardware that supports the equivalent 10GBASE-ZR transceiver. It provides long-distance reach of up to 80 km with single-mode fiber while offering metal housing for mechanical durability and low weight for easy handling. The module includes support for Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM/DOM) to report supply voltage, laser bias current, transmit power, receive power and internal temperature when the host device supports these features.
Insert the SFP+ module into a compatible SFP+ port on a switch, router or storage device following the host manufacturer's insertion and removal procedure. Use LC duplex single-mode patch cords to connect the module to the remote transceiver or patch panel, ensuring correct transmit-to-receive alignment. Confirm link parameters and DDM/DOM availability within the host system software to monitor optical and electrical metrics. Observe electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions and keep dust caps on the connector when the module is not in use.
