Network transceiver module BlueOptics ET7502-SR8-BO, QSFP-DD, 400000 Mbit/s, MPO-16/MTP-16, 100 m
BlueOptics ET7502-SR8-BO is a QSFP-DD fiber optic transceiver module designed for high-density 400 Gigabit Ethernet links. The module supports a maximum data rate of 400000 Mbit/s and uses MPO-16 / MTP-16 multimode fiber connectors. It is intended for short-reach multimode links up to 100 m and comes in a compact silver QSFP-DD form factor with an expected MTBF of 1,000,000 hours and compliance with CE, FCC and RoHS standards.
The QSFP-DD form factor provides high port density and compatibility with equipment that accepts double-density QSFP modules. Using MPO-16 / MTP-16 connectors enables parallel multimode fiber transmission for aggregated 400 Gigabit throughput. The module’s silver housing and compact dimensions make it suitable for rack-mounted switches and routers where space and thermal considerations are important. Certification to CE, FCC and RoHS ensures conformity with common regulatory and environmental requirements.
Install the BlueOptics ET7502-SR8-BO into a QSFP-DD compatible port on the network switch or router while the host supports hot-plug insertion. Ensure the transceiver and the host device are powered according to the vendor’s instructions. Connect multimode MPO-16 / MTP-16 fiber cables between devices, observing correct polarity and connector orientation. Verify link status and speed via the network device management interface and perform any required firmware or configuration updates on the host to enable 400 Gigabit operation.
For reliable operation, use multimode fiber rated for 400 Gb/s aggregation and keep patch cable lengths within the specified 100 m range. Maintain clean connector endfaces and use proper fiber cleaning tools before mating to avoid insertion loss. When deploying in dense racks, confirm adequate airflow and thermal management for QSFP-DD modules and follow the switch vendor’s compatibility list for transceiver firmware and interoperability.
