SFP transceiver module BlueOptics J8177C Copper 1250 Mbit/s
The BlueOptics J8177C Copper SFP transceiver module supports a maximum data transfer rate of 1250 Mbit/s and is intended for use in standard SFP ports. Designed for copper-based network links, this compact SFP module provides a simple way to add or replace copper connectivity in switches, routers and media converters that accept SFP form-factor modules. The module follows common SFP compatibility expectations and is suitable for point-to-point connections where a 1.25 Gbit/s class copper link is required.
The module offers plug-and-play operation in compatible SFP ports and enables copper connectivity without the need to modify existing hardware. Its small SFP form factor conserves slot space while providing a stable 1250 Mbit/s link. Being copper-based, the transceiver works with standard Ethernet cabling and avoids the need for fiber infrastructure where copper is sufficient.
Insert the BlueOptics J8177C SFP module into an empty, compatible SFP slot on your switch, router or media converter until it clicks into place. Connect the appropriate copper Ethernet cable to the module’s RJ-45 interface (if applicable for the module design) and the other end to the remote device. Ensure that connected equipment supports the module’s 1250 Mbit/s link speed and verify link status through device management or LEDs. To remove, release the module’s latch or pull-tab and extract it straight from the slot while the device is powered down or following the manufacturer’s hot-swap guidelines.
Confirm SFP compatibility with the host device before installation and use quality shielded or unshielded copper cabling appropriate for your network. For reliable operation, keep firmware and device drivers up to date and follow ESD precautions when handling the module.
