BlueOptics SFP+ fiber optic transceiver J9150D-BO is a compact, hot-pluggable module designed for 10GBASE-SR short-reach links. The module supports a data rate up to 10,000 Mbit/s over multimode fiber at an 850 nm wavelength, and features an SFP+ interface in a silver housing. The transceiver is RoHS compliant and is intended for use in switches, servers and storage networking equipment where reliable 10 Gbit/s connectivity is required.
The BlueOptics J9150D-BO offers straightforward installation through a hot-pluggable SFP+ form factor and supports full 10 Gbit/s performance for short-reach multimode fiber links. Its compact silver module is lightweight and compatible with systems that accept SFP+ optics. RoHS compliance reduces environmental and regulatory concerns during deployment.
This transceiver is optimized for short-reach multimode fiber at 850 nm and is not suitable for long-distance single-mode links or applications requiring extended reach beyond the typical SR limits. It does not provide management features beyond standard SFP+ presence and does not replace transceivers specified for different wavelengths or form factors.
Insert the BlueOptics J9150D-BO into an available SFP+ port on a compatible switch, server or storage device while the host is powered on or according to the host vendor’s hot-plug guidance. Connect LC duplex multimode fiber patch cords (matched to the switch and transceiver specifications) and verify link status through the host device LEDs or management interface. Ensure both ends of the link support 10GBASE-SR and that fiber type and patch cords meet multimode SR requirements.
Use multimode fiber patch cords with correct attenuation and connector cleanliness. Test the link after installation and monitor port status from the host. For distances beyond SR limits or single-mode infrastructure, select a transceiver specified for longer reach or single-mode wavelength.
