Fibre optic cable BlueOptics MTP-4LC-M10M 10 m OM3 MTP to 4×LC full duplex
BlueOptics MTP-4LC-M10M is a 10 m OM3 multimode fibre optic cable featuring an MTP connector on one end and four LC duplex connectors on the other. Designed for full-duplex transmission, this MTP-to-4×LC breakout cable uses laser-optimized OM3 fibre with a 125 µm core diameter and a flame-retardant LSZH outer jacket. It is suitable for high-density multi-fibre terminations in data centre trunking, switch-to-transceiver links and InfiniBand environments where compact, multi-channel connectivity is required.
The cable provides low insertion loss and high return loss consistent with OM3 multimode performance, and is built using branded multimode fibre and ceramic ferrule connectors to ensure reliable mating cycles and signal integrity. Its MTP to 4×LC breakout design reduces panel space and simplifies connections between MPO/MTP trunks and LC duplex ports. The LSZH sheath reduces halogen release and smoke emission in case of fire, supporting safer installations in enclosed spaces.
Route the cable between the MTP/MPO trunk or cassette and the target patch panel or transceiver cages, taking care to maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the fibre manufacturer. Secure the cable to cable management hardware to avoid strain on connectors and ensure correct polarity when connecting MTP and LC ends. Inspect connector endfaces before mating and clean if necessary to maintain low loss and high return loss performance.
For reliable performance, avoid tight bends and excessive pulling force during installation, follow manufacturer guidelines for minimum bend radius and connector handling, and use appropriate cleaning tools for MTP and LC ferrules prior to connection. Select OM3 multimode transceivers and equipment that match OM3 performance for optimal short-reach high-speed links.
