Fiber optic transceiver BlueOptics P2XR1-BO 100000 Mbit/s QSFP28
The BlueOptics P2XR1-BO 100000 Mbit/s QSFP28 is a fiber optic transceiver module designed for high-speed multimode optical links. In a compact QSFP28 form factor and weighing about 40 g, this transceiver supports data transfer rates up to 100000 Mbit/s and provides LC duplex connectivity for bidirectional 100GBASE-SR2-Bidi links. The module incorporates MSA-compliant design and digital diagnostics monitoring (DDM/DOM) for real-time status information such as supply voltage, laser bias current, optical transmit/receive power and temperature. Constructed with components from established communications manufacturers, it is intended for reliable operation in common networking hardware platforms that support compatible QSFP28 modules.
The transceiver offers full QSFP28 100G performance in a compact, silver-coloured housing with low weight, making it suitable for dense installations. Its bidirectional SR2 Bidi design transmits and receives over single multimode fibers using LC duplex connectors, reducing cabling complexity. Integrated DDM/DOM simplifies monitoring and troubleshooting by providing live optical and electrical parameters. The module is built to MSA standards using quality lasers and ICs to support long service life and high availability in network environments.
Insert the QSFP28 module into a compatible QSFP28 port on a switch, router or other network device while the host device is powered down or following the manufacturer's hot-plug guidance. Connect LC duplex multimode fiber patch cables to the module's LC ports, ensuring correct polarity for bidirectional operation. If available, enable or read DDM/DOM parameters through the host management interface to verify optical power, temperature and supply values. Verify that the host platform supports 100GBASE-SR2-Bidi modules and any vendor compatibility settings required for third-party transceivers.
Use high-quality multimode patch cables and ensure fiber connectors are clean before insertion. Confirm DDM/DOM support on the host device to enable remote monitoring. Follow the host vendor's compatibility guidelines and firmware requirements when deploying third-party QSFP28 transceivers.
