The BlueOptics SFP3138BU2MS is a high-quality 2-meter singlemode fibre optic patch cable designed for reliable data transmission in professional networking environments. Featuring LC and E-2000 (LSH) connectors, this OS2 G.657.A1 cable supports full duplex communication with a 9 µm core diameter. The cable is encased in a yellow LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket, ensuring both safety and durability in various installation scenarios.
This patch cable utilizes premium components, including high-grade ceramic ferrules, to ensure consistent signal integrity and a long service life of up to 1500 mating cycles. The use of an LSZH jacket provides superior fire safety by minimizing smoke emission and eliminating halogen release in the event of a fire. Each cable is rigorously tested using interferometer and OTDR methods, with a measurement protocol included to guarantee low insertion loss and high return loss performance, meeting strict international industry standards.
This cable is designed specifically for singlemode applications and will not function in multimode fiber optic systems. Additionally, it is not intended for outdoor use where it would be exposed to direct sunlight, moisture, or extreme environmental conditions without additional protective conduit.
To install the cable, first remove the protective dust caps from the LC and E-2000 connectors. Ensure that the fiber optic ports on your networking equipment are clean and free of debris. Insert the LC connector into the corresponding port until it clicks into place, and connect the E-2000 connector to the target device.
