BlueOptics SFP3838BU5MM Singlemode OS2 Fibre Optic Patch Cable, 5 m, E-2000 (LSH) to E-2000 (LSH)
The BlueOptics SFP3838BU5MM is a high-performance 5-meter singlemode OS2 fibre optic patch cable designed for reliable and high-speed data transmission. Featuring E-2000 (LSH) connectors on both ends, this duplex cable is engineered with G.657.A1 fibre to ensure minimal signal loss and superior connectivity. The cable is encased in a durable, flame-retardant LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket, making it a safe and efficient choice for professional networking environments.
This patch cable offers exceptional signal integrity due to its high-quality ceramic ferrules and precise manufacturing standards. The use of G.657.A1 fibre provides excellent bend resistance, allowing for flexible installation in tight spaces without compromising performance. The E-2000 connectors include an integrated dust shutter, which protects the ferrule from contamination and ensures a clean, secure connection every time. Furthermore, the LSZH jacket ensures that in the event of fire, the cable produces minimal smoke and no toxic halogens, meeting strict safety regulations for data centers and telecommunication facilities.
This cable is designed specifically for singlemode OS2 applications and is not compatible with multimode fibre optic equipment. Additionally, if your hardware requires different connector types, such as LC or SC, this cable will not fit without the use of specialized adapters.
To install the cable, first remove the protective dust caps from the E-2000 connectors. Carefully align the connector with the corresponding port on your patch panel or transceiver. Insert the connector until you hear a secure click, which indicates that the locking mechanism is engaged. Ensure that the cable is not bent beyond its minimum bend radius to maintain optimal signal quality. When disconnecting, press the release lever on the E-2000 connector to safely unlock it before pulling it out of the port.
Always inspect the connector end-faces for dust or debris before installation. Use a fibre optic cleaning tool if necessary to maintain low insertion loss and prevent damage to the transceiver ports.
