BlueOptics SFP6141FU10MKB InfiniBand fibre optic cable 10 m MTP 4x LC
The BlueOptics SFP6141FU10MKB InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 10 m multi-mode OM4 breakout cable with a single MTP (MPO) connector on one end and four LC duplex connectors on the other. Designed for high-density environments, this cable uses 8 cores (pinout 1-4 & 9-12) and is optimized for 850 nm wavelength transmission. The cable features an LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket for reduced smoke and no halogen release in case of fire and is intended for use with MTP cassettes and QSFP-class transceivers in data centre and high-performance computing networks.
The cable delivers low insertion loss and high return loss through precision-manufactured OM4 fibre and zirconia ceramic ferrule connectors, providing reliable, error-minimised signal transmission. Its pre-assembled MTP-to-4xLC breakout design eliminates the need for splicing or field assembly, speeding up installation and reducing on-site labour and special-tool requirements. Factory testing with interferometry and OTDR ensures documented optical performance, and branded connector and fibre components support long service life and up to 1500 mating cycles.
Connect the MTP end into the MTP cassette or QSFP-facing adapter and route the four LC duplex connectors to the corresponding LC ports on switches, transceivers or patch panels. Ensure correct orientation and alignment of the MTP key and LC connectors before mating. Avoid sharp bends and maintain minimum bend radius for multi-mode OM4 fibre during routing. Use cable management accessories or horizontal managers to secure and separate fibres in high-density racks.
For reliable performance, store and handle the cable in clean conditions to avoid contamination of connector endfaces; inspect and clean connectors with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before connecting. Install in accordance with EN50173-5 and ISO/IEC 24764 guidelines for structured cabling and maintain bend radius and strain relief to preserve optical performance.
