The BlueOptics SFP6141FU1MKB InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 1 m MTP to 4x LC breakout cable designed for high-speed multimode OM4 networks. It features a single MTP/UPC connector to four LC/UPC duplex connectors, 8 optical cores with G50/125 µm fiber, and an LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) outer sheath. Engineered for 850 nm transmission, the cable is intended for short-reach, high-density environments such as data centres, storage area networks and server interconnects where reliable, low-loss optical lanes are required.
This MTP to 4x LC breakout cable provides a compact, factory-terminated alternative to splicing, enabling fast installation and straightforward deployment without special tools or onsite assembly. The OM4 multimode fiber and precision ceramic ferrules yield low insertion loss and high return loss values, supporting consistent signal quality. The LSZH jacket reduces smoke and toxic gas emissions in case of fire, aligning with industry safety norms. Each cable is quality-tested (including interferometer and OTDR checks) and delivered with measured insertion loss and return loss data.
Connect the MTP end to the corresponding MTP port on a cassette, module or trunk cable and route each LC duplex connector to the target LC ports on switches, transceivers or patch panels. Ensure connectors are clean and free of dust or debris before mating to minimise insertion loss. Avoid tight bends and secure the cable to rack management hardware to prevent strain; the compact breakout design simplifies routing in high-density panels and reduces the need for splicing or field termination.
