BlueOptics SFPP-15-80-BO network transceiver module Fiber optic 10000 Mbit/s 1550 nm
The BlueOptics SFPP-15-80-BO network transceiver module is an SFP+ fiber optic module for 10 Gbit/s data transmission over single-mode fiber. Operating at a wavelength of 1550 nm, the compact metal-housed module delivers a high-bandwidth optical link while maintaining a small form factor and low weight. Designed to follow MSA form-factor conventions and with an LC duplex interface, it is suitable for long-reach 10G applications and supports digital diagnostics for real-time monitoring of operating parameters where supported by the host hardware.
The module supports 10000 Mbit/s throughput at 1550 nm in a durable metal enclosure and is compatible with standard SFP+ ports that accept MSA-compliant transceivers. Its lightweight, compact design simplifies installation in switches, routers and storage systems while the integrated digital diagnostics (DDM/DOM) enable remote monitoring of supply voltage, optical power, laser bias current and temperature when the host platform supports these features.
Install the BlueOptics SFPP-15-80-BO into an SFP+ compatible port until it engages securely. Connect an LC duplex single-mode patch cable between transceivers at both ends of the link, observing proper transmit/receive orientation. Ensure the host device supports 10G operation and, if DDM/DOM monitoring is required, confirm the platform exposes those diagnostics. Power is supplied from the host via the SFP+ interface; no external power connection is needed. Follow standard electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions and keep optical connectors clean to maintain signal quality.
For optimal performance use single-mode LC duplex fiber and quality patch cords, verify DDM support on your hardware to access digital diagnostics, and perform regular inspections of connector endfaces. When replacing transceivers, match transmission parameters and ensure firmware or vendor compatibility settings on the host if required.
