BlueOptics X66200-10-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 10 m MPO Turquoise
The BlueOptics X66200-10-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 10 m MPO-to-MPO patch cable built with OM3 multimode fibre and a 125 µm core diameter for high-speed data transmission in data centre and networking environments. Designed for use with InfiniBand and compatible optical transceivers, the cable uses MPO connectors on both ends and an LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) outer sheath for reduced smoke and no halogen release in case of fire. Each cable is factory tested for input loss and return loss and is intended to provide consistent multimode performance for short- to medium-range links.
The cable provides a standardized MPO-to-MPO multimode connection with OM3 laser-optimized fibre, enabling reliable high-bandwidth links in rack, patch panel and equipment interconnects. LSZH sheathing reduces toxic emissions and smoke in confined spaces. Factory testing with interferometry and OTDR ensures documented input loss and return loss values. Components such as zirconia ceramic ferrules and branded multimode fibre contribute to consistent insertion loss and long connector life.
Inspect connector endfaces for contamination and clean with an appropriate fibre cleaning tool before installation. Route the 10 m MPO-MPO cable through cable management paths or trays to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain recommended bend radii for multimode fibre. Plug the MPO connectors into corresponding MPO ports on patch panels, transceivers or switches, ensuring correct alignment of the connector key and polarity. Verify link performance with appropriate test equipment if required and store the accompanying measurement protocol for input loss and return loss.
For optimal performance, avoid tight bends and excessive pulling force, keep connector endfaces capped when not in use, and perform endface cleaning before mating. Use MPO polarity and breakout checks when connecting to transceivers or fanout assemblies to ensure correct channel mapping.
