Power over Ethernet Injector Bosch NPD-6001B
The Bosch NPD-6001B Power over Ethernet Injector supplies both data and power over a single Ethernet cable for compatible devices. Designed for Fast Ethernet environments, it provides 57 V and up to 60 W output power while supporting data rates of 10/100 Mbit/s over a maximum cable distance of 100 m. Its compact footprint (62 x 151 x 38 mm) and lightweight construction make it suitable for installations where space is limited and reliable power delivery is required. The injector accepts a wide AC input voltage range (100–240 V), enabling deployment in diverse electrical environments.
The injector combines power and data delivery in one unit, simplifying cabling and reducing installation effort. Its 57 V PoE output and 60 W power capability support a range of powered devices that require higher power levels than standard PoE. Compatibility with Fast Ethernet data rates ensures stable network connectivity over typical structured cabling runs up to 100 m. The small size and light weight reduce mounting constraints and make handling and placement easier during installation.
Connect the injector’s AC input to a suitable mains outlet within the specified voltage range. Use a standard Ethernet patch cable to connect the network switch or data source to the injector’s data input port, and a second Ethernet cable from the injector’s PoE output port to the powered device. Ensure cable lengths do not exceed 100 m to maintain signal and power integrity. Verify that the connected device supports 57 V PoE and that its power draw does not exceed the injector’s 60 W capacity.
Install the injector in a dry, ventilated location away from heat sources and corrosive atmospheres. Use quality CAT5e or better twisted-pair cables to preserve data and power delivery. For permanent installations, secure the injector to a stable surface and observe local electrical codes when connecting mains power. If multiple powered devices are required, consider a centralized PoE switch to manage power distribution and monitoring.
