Outdoor Patch Cable brackton CAT6a S/FTP 30 m, RJ45 male–male, black
Outdoor Patch Cable brackton CAT6a S/FTP 30 m, RJ45 male–male, black
brackton Outdoor Patch Cable CAT6a S/FTP, 30 m, RJ45 male–male in black is a shielded network patch cable designed for outdoor networking runs. The S/FTP (shielded foiled twisted pair) construction combines overall braid shielding with individually foiled pairs to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity for high-speed Ethernet applications up to 10 Gbps. The 30 metre length enables connections between network devices over longer distances without intermediate patch points, and the rugged outer jacket is intended for use in external or exposed installations.
The shielded S/FTP design provides enhanced protection against crosstalk and external interference, improving stability for bandwidth-intensive applications. CAT6a specification supports 10 Gbps data rates over short to medium distances, while the RJ45 male–male connectors ensure compatibility with standard switches, routers and network ports. The cable’s outdoor-rated jacket offers increased resistance to environmental factors compared with typical indoor patch cords. A two-year warranty covers manufacturing defects.
Route the cable between the two network endpoints, avoiding sharp bends and tight loops that could stress the conductors or shielding. Plug the RJ45 connectors into the corresponding ports on switches, routers, access points or other Ethernet devices; ensure connectors are fully inserted and latched. If the cable passes through doors, windows or conduits, provide strain relief and protect against pinching or abrasion. For installations near heavy electrical equipment, maintain separation from power lines to reduce interference risks despite the shielding.
For reliable 10 Gbps performance, keep the cable run within recommended CAT6a distance limits and minimise repeated flexing. When installing outdoors, use appropriate cable clips or glands and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or standing water unless additional protective routing or conduit is used. Test links after installation with a network tester to confirm continuity, shielding effectiveness and performance.
