Felt sheet BREWIS Filc FC410-10 black 1 mm — craft and upholstery material
BREWIS Filc FC410-10 black 1 mm is a thin, flexible felt sheet designed for a range of craft, DIY and light upholstery uses. The product provides a uniform black textile surface with 1 mm thickness that can be cut, glued or sewn to create linings, protective pads, decorative details and thin cushioning layers. Its compact construction offers moderate sound-dampening and a smooth finish suitable for visible edges and interior trim work.
The felt sheet combines flexible handling with stable dimensional behaviour at 1 mm thickness, allowing precise cutting and trimming for small components and overlays. Its black colour delivers a neutral, non-reflective surface that conceals adhesives and backing materials. The material is easy to attach with common craft glues, double-sided tape or basic sewing techniques and adapts well to curved and flat surfaces.
Measure and mark the felt sheet according to your template, then cut with sharp scissors, a craft knife or a rotary cutter for clean edges. Attach the piece with an appropriate adhesive for textile-to-surface bonding, such as PVA craft glue, contact adhesive or double-sided tape, depending on the application and substrate. For secure attachment to fabrics or soft materials, sew the felt with standard needles and polyester thread. When used as a lining or protective pad, position the felt with the smooth side outward and press firmly until the adhesive sets.
Store flat in a dry environment away from direct sunlight and high heat to prevent distortion. Test adhesives and sewing settings on a scrap piece before final assembly. For sound-dampening or cushioning tasks, consider combining multiple layers to achieve the required thickness and performance.
