Patch panel METZ CONNECT 130861-0402-E
Patch panel METZ CONNECT 130861-0402-E is a surface-mounted, unequipped module housing for individual modules in a modular design. The housing is made from solid steel sheet with the upper part powder-coated in RAL 9010, providing a durable white finish. It is suitable for direct wall mounting, use as a desktop device or for DIN-rail mounting with the DIN rail adapter mini FS; the 3-port and 4-port bottoms can be removed to allow additional fastening with a 60 mm clearance. Optional accessories include a mini splice tray and, for the 2 x 12 variant, a dedicated strain relief for patch cords (130861-24ZE-E).
The housing allows tool-free removal and replacement of the upper part, enabling quick access without screws. Equipotential bonding is possible via an integrated contact pin, and additional strain relief can be fitted on the lower part using cable ties. Multiple mounting options (wall, desktop, DIN rail) and several port variants (3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 16 and 2 x 12) make the product flexible for different installations. Constructed from robust materials, it ensures long-term mechanical protection for installed modules.
Mount the housing on a wall or place it on a desktop; for DIN-rail mounting attach the DIN rail adapter mini FS first. Open the upper part by lifting it off (no screws required) and install the chosen modules into the modular slots. Fit equipotential bonding using the contact pin when required, and route cables through the lower area. For additional strain relief secure patch cords with cable ties on the lower part or install the optional strain relief accessory for the 2 x 12 variant.
Use the mini splice tray when fibre splicing is required and fit the 60 mm fastening option on the 3-port and 4-port housings if a more secure mechanical attachment is needed. Ensure equipotential bonding is connected in installations where grounding continuity is required.
