C2G 2M LC/LC OM4 LSZH FIBRE PATCH VIOLET 50 µm Full Duplex
C2G 2M LC/LC OM4 LSZH FIBRE PATCH VIOLET 50 µm Full Duplex
The C2G 2M LC/LC OM4 LSZH fibre patch cable is a 2-metre, full-duplex multimode fibre with a 50 µm core diameter, intended for high-speed network connections including 40GBase-SR4 and 100GBase-SR10 links. Constructed with OM4 grading and LSZH jacket material, the cable offers compatibility with existing 50/125 multimode equipment, supports VCSEL and LED light sources, and is suitable for data centre and wiring-closet installations where reduced smoke and low halogen emissions are required.
The OM4 specification provides increased bandwidth and improved reach for 40 Gbit/s and 100 Gbit/s multimode applications while remaining backward compatible with 50/125 systems. LC to LC terminations support common SFP+ and QSFP+ transceivers and the 2 m length is convenient for patching in racks and cabinets. The LSZH jacket reduces the release of toxic and corrosive gases in case of fire, improving safety in enclosed spaces.
Identify the matching LC ports on the transceivers or patch panels, align the keyed LC connectors and push until they click to ensure a secure connection. Observe correct polarity for duplex links (A-to-B, B-to-A as required by your equipment). When routing the cable, avoid tight bends and compressive forces that could stress the fibre; follow standard bend-radius guidelines for multimode fibre. For longer term installations, label each end to simplify future maintenance and troubleshooting.
Use this OM4 LC/LC patch cable for short-range, high-speed multimode links in data centres and network closets. Maintain proper bend radius, keep connectors clean using appropriate fibre cleaning tools, and store spare cables in protective spools to prevent damage.
