This OM3 duplex multimode fibre optic cable from C2G (model 85549) is a 1 m LC-to-LC cable with a 50 µm core designed for full-duplex 10 Gigabit connections. It is suitable for use with 10GBase-SR, 10GBase-LRM, SFP+ and QSFP+ transceivers and remains backward compatible with existing 50/125 equipment. The cable features a LSZH jacket to reduce toxic and corrosive gas release in poorly ventilated or sensitive environments.
The cable supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet applications and provides the performance headroom required for LED and VCSEL light sources while maintaining compatibility with legacy multimode infrastructure. Its LSZH outer jacket improves safety in confined or public spaces by minimizing hazardous emissions in case of fire. LC duplex connectors and a 1 m length make the cable easy to deploy in rack and cabinet environments.
Inspect connectors for contamination before installation and clean if necessary. Insert each LC connector into the corresponding transceiver or patch panel port until it latches. Route the cable avoiding tight bends (follow the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius) and secure within cable management to prevent strain on connectors.
