Networking cable C2G LOGON UTP Cat.5e, 2 m, RJ-45 to RJ-45, white
C2G LOGON UTP Cat.5e networking patch cable, 2 m length, is designed for standard Ethernet connections in residential and office networks. The unshielded twisted pair (UTP) Cat5e construction supports 100BASE-TX and Gigabit Ethernet over short runs, and the cable is terminated with RJ-45 male connectors on both ends. The white outer jacket provides a neutral appearance for installation along walls, ceilings or inside patch panels.
The cable features Cat5e classification with 4 x 2 AWG 26/7 twisted pairs and a characteristic impedance of 100 ohm, ensuring reliable signal transmission for data, voice and basic multimedia. Both ends are fitted with RJ-45 connectors and boots with kink protection and strain relief to reduce connector stress and improve longevity. The compact 2 m length reduces excess cable management in racks and workspaces.
For standard Ethernet connections, plug each RJ-45 connector into the device network ports such as a PC, switch, router or patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the latch clicks and route the cable to avoid sharp bends near the boots. Use cable management ties or channels to secure the cable and prevent undue strain at the terminations. The cable uses straight-through wiring for typical end-device to network equipment connections.
For optimal performance, avoid running the UTP cable parallel to high-voltage power lines and keep bend radius larger than the boot length. Use this Cat5e cable for runs up to the recommended distance for Ethernet standards in structured cabling (typically 100 m for horizontal links), and choose higher-category cables if higher bandwidth or futureproofing is required.
