The C2G 3.1m Cat6a Snagless Unshielded (UTP) Slim Ethernet Patch Cable in black is a slim, high-performance network patch cable designed for high-density cabling environments such as large conference rooms and datacenters. It supports ethernet speeds up to 10 Gbps over distances up to 328 ft (100 m) and uses Cat6a technology with 28 AWG conductors to provide increased bandwidth and improved flexibility in tight spaces. The molded snagless boot protects the connector during installation and the gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure reliable contact. The cable is unshielded (U/UTP) and is available in multiple colors for easy network color-coding.
The slim 28 AWG construction gives the cable greater flexibility and a reduced diameter that improves airflow in dense cable bundles. Cat6a performance delivers up to 10 Gbps and higher minimum bandwidth compared to Cat6, making the cable suitable for PoE and VoIP applications as well as HDBaseT deployments. The molded snagless boot prevents accidental snags during installation and provides strain relief, while gold-plated RJ-45 contacts improve conductivity and corrosion resistance. Connect one end of the patch cable to the RJ-45 port on your network device (switch, router, patch panel, or endpoint) and the other end to the corresponding port on the connected device. Ensure connectors fully seat until the latch clicks. Route the cable through cable management channels or trays as needed, using the slim profile to organize dense bundles and improve airflow. Do not exceed the recommended maximum run length of 100 m for 10 Gbps performance.
For best results, use the cable in indoor, dry environments and keep cable runs within the 100 m limit for 10 Gbps operation. Avoid excessive bending or kinking and follow standard cable management practices. Select color variants to simplify port identification in patch panels and high-density installations.
