Coaxial cable Cabletech SAT9590, model KAB0008
Cabletech SAT9590 coaxial cable (model KAB0008) is a single-conductor coaxial cable designed for transmission of RF signals in television, satellite and radio systems. Supplied as a length of cable for installation, it features the conventional coaxial construction that separates the central conductor, dielectric insulator, shielding braid and outer jacket to maintain signal integrity between antennas, LNBs, receivers and distribution equipment. The cable is intended for both indoor and outdoor routing where a general-purpose coaxial solution is required.
The Cabletech SAT9590 cable offers consistent impedance and shielding to minimise signal loss and interference over typical domestic and small commercial installation distances. Its standard coaxial design allows straightforward termination with common F-type and similar connectors, and the physical flexibility facilitates routing through conduits, behind walls or along rooftops. The outer jacket provides basic mechanical protection for indoor and exposed runs while the braid reduces electromagnetic interference from nearby sources.
Measure and cut the required cable length, allowing extra for routing paths and connector termination. Strip the outer jacket and braid carefully to expose the dielectric and central conductor, taking care not to nick the conductor. Fit appropriate RF connectors according to the receiver or LNB requirements and tighten to manufacturer torque recommendations where specified. Dress and secure the cable along its route using clips or ties, avoiding sharp bends and compression that could impair signal quality.
For best results, use quality connectors and proper termination tools to minimise return loss. Where the cable is run outdoors or in exposed locations, protect connectors and exposed ends from moisture with weatherproofing tape or boots. Avoid running the cable in parallel with high-voltage power lines to reduce potential interference.
