Heat-Shrink Cable Joint CellPack for 95–150 mm², 0.6/1 kV
Heat-Shrink Cable Joint CellPack for 95–150 mm², 0.6/1 kV
Heat-Shrink Cable Joint CellPack for 95–150 mm², 0.6/1 kV is a repair and connection kit designed for single-core medium-voltage power cables with conductor cross-sections between 95 and 150 mm² and nominal voltage 0.6/1 kV. The kit uses thermally activated heat-shrink sleeves to restore dielectric insulation, provide mechanical protection and achieve environmental sealing. It is intended for use in industrial, utility and construction environments where a reliable insulated joint is required.
This heat-shrink cable joint combines electrical insulation, mechanical reinforcement and moisture protection in a single assembly. The thermally activated sleeves conform to cable cores and fittings, ensuring a compact and consistent joint profile. The design simplifies installation compared with liquid-filled or cold-applied systems and reduces the need for specialized tools beyond a heat source and cutting/stripping tools. Materials are selected to deliver long-term electrical performance at the specified voltage range and to resist common environmental factors encountered in indoor and outdoor installations.
Prepare cable ends by cutting back to a clean conductor, strip insulation to the required length and clean the conductor and insulation surfaces. Slide the components of the heat-shrink joint onto the cable in the specified order, position the joint over the conductor connection and apply heat evenly with a compatible heat gun or torch until the sleeves fully shrink and form a tight seal. Allow the assembly to cool to ambient temperature before handling and verify the joint visually for full adhesion and uniform shrinkage.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow electrical safety procedures when working on live or de-energized cables. Ensure the selected joint matches the conductor cross-section and cable insulation type. Apply heat uniformly and avoid overheating adjacent components; perform a visual inspection after cooling and, where required, verify insulation integrity with standard electrical tests.
