Tile Joint Mortar Ceresit CE 40 Toffi 2 kg — Elastic Waterproof Grout
Ceresit CE 40 Toffi is a ready-to-use elastic waterproof grout supplied in a 2 kg package. Formulated for filling and sealing joints between ceramic, porcelain and natural stone tiles, it delivers flexible, water-resistant joints suitable for wet areas, floors and façades. The grout is intended for indoor and outdoor use where movement accommodation and moisture protection are required, providing a uniform toffi-coloured finish that blends with warm-toned tiles.
The product is ready to use straight from the package, eliminating mixing and reducing preparation time. Its elastic formulation allows joints to withstand minor substrate movement without cracking, while waterproof properties protect against staining and water penetration in wet areas. The grout cures to a consistent texture and colour, simplifying aesthetic coordination with tiles and facilitating easier cleaning and maintenance.
This grout is designed for joints where elasticity and water resistance are the primary requirements. It may not be suitable for extremely wide joints beyond the manufacturer's recommended width range or for applications that require structural movement joints designed to accommodate large thermal or seismic shifts. For tiles that require specialized chemical resistance or continuous immersion (for example in pools with aggressive chemicals), a specifically formulated grout or sealant should be considered.
Ensure substrates and tile faces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease or release agents prior to application. Apply the ready-to-use grout into the joints using a rubber float or spatula, pressing firmly to compact the material and remove air pockets. Excess material on tile surfaces should be removed promptly with a damp sponge or cloth before the grout skins over. Allow the grout to cure according to ambient conditions and avoid exposure to water or heavy traffic until fully set.
Use suitable protective gloves and eye protection during application. For natural stone, perform a compatibility test and, if necessary, apply a primer or sealer to prevent staining. Follow substrate and tile manufacturer guidance when combining materials. Dispose of unused product and empty packaging according to local regulations.
