Tile Grout CERESIT CE40/45 FRAPPE 2 kg, cement-based grout for joints
CERESIT CE40/45 FRAPPE is a cement-based tile grout in a 2 kg package formulated for filling and finishing joints between ceramic, porcelain and natural stone tiles. Designed for both interior and exterior applications, this grout offers a durable and wear-resistant joint surface suitable for floors and walls. The product is intended for use by professionals and DIY users where a standard cementitious grout is required for normal household and commercial environments.
The grout delivers stable jointing with good compressive strength and abrasion resistance, helping maintain joint integrity under regular foot traffic and use. Its cement-based composition allows compatibility with a wide range of tile types including ceramics, glazed porcelain and many natural stones. Available in a compact 2 kg package, it is convenient for small repair jobs or tiled areas requiring blended colour matching.
This cement-based grout is not intended for permanently submerged areas or continuous water immersion, such as pools or some fountains, without additional waterproofing measures. It may also be less suitable for environments requiring very high chemical resistance or for joints with highly flexible substrates where an elastic grout or sealant is required.
Prepare a clean, dry joint area free from dust, adhesives and spacers. Mix the grout powder with the recommended amount of clean water to obtain a workable consistency, following the manufacturer’s mixing instructions. Apply the grout using a rubber float or grout trowel, pressing material firmly into joints to avoid voids. Remove excess grout from the tile face with the float held at a shallow angle, and after initial setting, clean the tile surface with a damp sponge and clean water, rinsing frequently. Allow grout to cure fully before subjecting to heavy traffic or moisture exposure; follow manufacturer cure times and ambient temperature guidelines.
For best results, follow the manufacturer’s technical data sheet for mixing ratios, pot life and curing times. Work in small areas to ensure grout does not harden before cleaning, and protect newly grouted surfaces from heavy traffic and frost until fully cured.
