Grout CERESIT CE 40 Aquastatic waterproof flexible, dark brown — 5 kg
Ceresit CE 40 Aquastatic waterproof flexible grout in dark brown is a cement-based joint filler supplied in a 5 kg bag. Formulated for sealing joints between ceramic, porcelain and natural stone tiles, this grout provides elasticity and resistance to moisture and stains. It is intended for use in wet rooms such as bathrooms and kitchens, as well as for indoor and certain exterior applications where waterproof, flexible joints are required.
The grout combines waterproofing properties with flexibility to reduce the risk of cracking in areas subject to movement or temperature changes. Its dark brown shade is formulated to provide durable colour stability and to mask dirt in high-traffic or wet environments. The product is suitable for joints of various widths and is designed for good adhesion to common tile materials while offering resistance to staining and regular cleaning agents.
This grout may not be suitable for joints in areas with extreme mechanical loads or where heavy chemical exposure is expected, such as industrial floors treated with aggressive solvents. It may also be inappropriate for very wide joints beyond the manufacturer's recommended width or for use with certain sensitive natural stones without prior compatibility tests, as cement-based grouts can affect some stone surfaces.
Prepare substrates by ensuring tiles and joints are clean, dry and free of dust, adhesive residues or contaminants. Mix the grout powder with clean water following the manufacturer's mixing ratio to obtain a lump-free, homogeneous paste. Apply the grout using a rubber float or grout trowel, pressing the material firmly into the joints. Remove excess grout from tile surfaces with the float held at an angle, then perform initial cleaning with a damp sponge once the grout begins to firm. Allow final curing according to ambient temperature and humidity before subjecting the surface to regular use or heavy cleaning.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment during mixing and application. Follow surface preparation and mixing instructions closely and carry out a small test area when using on delicate stone. After curing, maintain grout lines with regular cleaning using neutral pH cleaners to preserve colour and water resistance.
