Flexible waterproof grout CERESIT CE 40 Aquastatic white — 5 kg
CERESIT CE 40 Aquastatic white — 5 kg is a flexible waterproof grout designed for sealing tile joints in wet and moisture-prone areas. Supplied in a 5 kg package, this grout forms an elastic, water-resistant seal suitable for ceramic, porcelain and mosaic tiles. It is formulated to provide long-lasting joint integrity where regular movement or exposure to water occurs, combining water repellence with flexibility to reduce cracking and water ingress.
The grout provides a flexible, elastic joint seal that adapts to minor substrate movements and thermal expansion without losing adhesion. Its waterproof formulation reduces the risk of moisture penetration through joints, making it appropriate for showers, bathrooms and wet kitchens. The white color offers a neutral, clean finish that complements many tile types and patterns while maintaining stain resistance typical for cement-based polymer-modified grouts.
This grout is intended for use in tile joints and is not a substitute for full-area waterproof membranes or structural waterproofing on substrates that require system-level protection. It may not be suitable for joints wider or narrower than the manufacturer’s recommended joint width range or for applications where chemical resistance beyond typical household detergents is required. For floors exposed to continuous heavy loading or industrial chemicals, consider a product specified for those conditions.
Prepare substrate and tiles ensuring joints are clean, dry and free of adhesive residues. Mix the grout with the recommended amount of clean water to a homogeneous, lump-free consistency and allow it to slake briefly if advised by the manufacturer. Apply into joints using a rubber float or grout trowel, pressing firmly to completely fill the joint voids. Remove excess grout from tile surfaces with a damp sponge before initial set, then finish with a clean cloth when grout has hardened enough to avoid smearing. Allow the grout to cure for the time stated by the manufacturer before regular exposure to water.
Use CE 40 Aquastatic white for indoor wet areas where flexible, water-resistant joints are required. Maintain recommended mixing ratios and curing times, protect fresh grout from direct water exposure during cure, and perform routine cleaning with non-abrasive, mild detergents to preserve appearance.
