Omnidirectional Wi-Fi Antenna Cisco AIR-ANT2544V4M-RS
The Cisco Aironet AIR-ANT2544V4M-RS omnidirectional Wi‑Fi antenna provides 360-degree coverage for environments that require uniform signal distribution. This dual-band antenna supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands with 4 dBi gain on each band, includes four ports, and is intended for wall or mast mounting. It is FCC-approved, features RP‑TNC male connectors, and is compatible with Cisco Catalyst 9100 access points which can self-identify the antenna. The product is covered by a 1-year limited hardware warranty and complies with IEEE 802.11n.
The antenna offers omnidirectional 360° radiation for even coverage, dual-band operation for compatibility with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz clients, and a modest 4 dBi gain on both bands to balance range and pattern uniformity. Four ports allow multi-antenna configurations and the RP‑TNC male connectors simplify installation on wall or mast mounts. Built-in circuitry enables antenna self-identification with Cisco Catalyst 9100 access points, and the FCC approval and IEEE 802.11n compliance ensure regulatory and standards alignment.
Mount the antenna on a wall or mast at a position that provides clear line-of-sight to the coverage area. Connect each RP‑TNC male connector to the corresponding antenna port on the access point or cabling assembly. Verify that the antenna is secured to prevent movement and that cables are routed to avoid sharp bends. If used with Cisco Catalyst 9100 access points, the access point should detect the antenna automatically via the built-in identification circuitry.
Install the antenna at a height and central position relative to the coverage area for the most uniform 360° distribution; avoid placing it near large metal objects or dense obstructions that can degrade omnidirectional performance.
