Managed Network Switch Cisco C9200CX-12P-2X2G-A Gigabit Ethernet PoE 14 Ports
The Cisco C9200CX-12P-2X2G-A is a managed network switch in the Catalyst 9200 family that delivers 14 Gigabit Ethernet ports with full PoE+ support and a switching capacity of 34 Gbit/s. Designed as an access-layer device for branch and campus deployments, it combines Cisco IOS XE software, UADP ASIC programmability and stacking capability to provide secure, resilient and manageable connectivity for enterprise networks.
The switch offers intent-based networking features derived from the Catalyst 9000 series: hardware and software integrity protections, redundancy for power and fans, modular uplinks and stacking bandwidth that supports resilient access. Built-in PoE+ supplies power to connected devices, while open APIs and Cisco IOS XE enable automation and programmability. The combination of security, resiliency and management options (including Cisco DNA Center or cloud monitoring) simplifies operations and helps reduce total cost of ownership.
Install the switch in a standard 19-inch rack or place it on a flat surface following the mounting instructions. Connect uplink ports to your aggregation or core switches via the 10G SFP+ modules and attach access devices (phones, APs, cameras) to the Gigabit RJ-45 ports. Configure management settings through the Cisco IOS XE CLI, NETCONF/RESTCONF APIs or via Cisco DNA Center/cloud monitoring for centralized provisioning, policy and telemetry. Enable PoE on required ports and verify power budgets when connecting multiple powered devices.
For reliable PoE deployment, plan port power allocation and consider redundant power sources where continuous operation is required. Use stacking and modular uplinks to increase resilience and throughput; apply Cisco best-practice configuration templates and firmware updates to maintain security and performance.
