Managed Network Switch Cisco C9200CX-12T-2X2G-E Gigabit Ethernet PoE
The Cisco C9200CX-12T-2X2G-E is a managed Gigabit Ethernet switch from the Catalyst 9200 family designed for secure, resilient access in branch and small to medium enterprise networks. It includes 15 RJ-45 Gigabit ports with full PoE+ capability, two 10G SFP+ uplink ports, a switching capacity of 35 Gbit/s and a MAC address table supporting 32,000 entries. Built on Cisco IOS XE with UADP programmability and Catalyst 9200 Series hardware, the switch supports advanced Layer 2/Layer 3 features and is compatible with Cisco DNA Center or cloud-based monitoring for centralized management.
The C9200CX-12T-2X2G-E combines secure hardware integrity and software protections, redundant power and cooling design options, and stacking and uplink flexibility for resilient operation. Its PoE+ support powers endpoint devices directly, while the UADP ASIC and open APIs enable automation and programmability. The compact module delivers enterprise-class switching performance and investment protection through ongoing Cisco software and platform compatibility.
Install the switch in a rack or place it on a stable surface following Cisco installation guidelines. Connect power and, if required, redundant power supplies. Attach access devices to the RJ-45 ports and fiber or 10G links to the SFP+ uplinks. Configure the switch using the Cisco IOS XE command-line interface, web UI, or integrate it into Cisco DNA Center or the cloud monitoring portal for centralized policy, automation and monitoring. Enable PoE on required ports to power connected endpoints and configure VLANs, QoS, and Layer 3 routing as needed for your network design.
Use the C9200CX-12T-2X2G-E as an access-layer switch in branch and campus deployments where PoE+ is required. For best resiliency, deploy within a managed stack or adjacent redundant uplink topology, keep IOS XE up to date, and manage configurations via Cisco DNA Center or supported cloud monitoring to leverage automation and security features.
