Managed Switch Cisco CBS220-8T-E-2G
The Cisco CBS220-8T-E-2G is a managed Layer 2 Gigabit Ethernet switch with eight 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45 ports, two SFP uplinks and a switching capacity of 20 Gbit/s. Designed for small businesses, the switch supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) deployment scenarios, IEEE networking standards compliance and a MAC address table of 8192 entries. The 1U rackable white enclosure and managed feature set enable efficient network management and predictable performance for business-class networks.
The CBS220-8T-E-2G provides managed L2 functionality in a compact form factor, offering Gigabit copper ports plus SFP expansion, industry standard protocol support, and PoE-ready operation. Its switching capacity and MAC table size support typical small-office traffic loads while compatibility with Cisco Business Dashboard simplifies deployment and lifecycle management. The unit is lightweight and rack-mountable for flexible installation.
Install the CBS220-8T-E-2G in a standard 19" rack using the included ears or place it on a stable surface. Connect Ethernet devices to the RJ-45 ports and SFP modules to the uplink ports as required. Access the management interface via the Cisco Business Dashboard, local web UI, or CLI to configure VLANs, QoS, PoE settings and security policies. Monitor ports, update firmware and manage the device lifecycle through the dashboard for consistent operation.
For best results, place the switch in a ventilated environment within the recommended operating temperature range, enable appropriate QoS and security settings for voice and video traffic, and use the Cisco Business Dashboard or app to automate deployment and monitoring. When deploying PoE devices, verify total available PoE budget and distribute powered devices across ports accordingly.
