Cisco SFP-10G-LR-S, refurbished, is a pluggable SFP+ optical transceiver designed for 10 Gigabit Ethernet links over single-mode fiber. It supports a nominal wavelength of 1310 nm and fits SFP+ ports to provide a compact, hot‑pluggable interface for long-reach optical connections in data centers, campus networks, metropolitan access rings and storage networks.
The module offers compact SFP+ form factor compatibility, a 10 Gbit/s line rate and support for single-mode fiber at 1310 nm, enabling long-reach optical links. As a refurbished spare, it provides a cost-effective option for expanding or maintaining existing Cisco ONS and other compatible multiservice platforms while preserving interoperability with SFP+ ports and MSA-compliant systems.
This refurbished SFP+ transceiver is not suitable where new‑unit warranty, certified lifecycle tracking, or vendor‑specific new‑product support is required. It also is not appropriate for multimode fiber runs or for applications that require different wavelengths or form factors (for example XFP, CFP or CXP).
Insert the SFP+ transceiver into a compatible SFP+ slot on the network device while the device is powered on or as recommended by the equipment vendor for hot‑plug operations. Connect single‑mode fiber patch cables to the transceiver’s optical interface, observing correct Tx/Rx orientation and using LC connectors as required. Verify link status and configure the network interface on the switch or router according to your network settings.
