Wall elbow Comap MultiSkin press-fit brass/tinned 20x1/2 L=40 mm
Wall elbow Comap MultiSkin press-fit brass/tinned 20x1/2 L=40 mm is a compact 90° outlet designed for wall-mounted plumbing connections. It connects 20 mm multilayer or plastic pipes to 1/2" threaded fittings using a press-fit interface, providing a corrosion-resistant tinned brass body suitable for potable water and central heating applications. The 40 mm length ensures a neat, space-saving installation behind fixtures and allows secure transition from pipework to threaded valves or appliances.
The press-fit joint enables fast, solder-free installation and reliable leak-tight performance when assembled with compatible press tools and fittings. The tinned brass construction offers enhanced corrosion resistance compared with untreated brass and maintains mechanical strength under typical domestic water system conditions. Its compact 90° geometry reduces protrusion from the wall and simplifies alignment with exposed fittings.
Prepare the pipe end by cutting squarely and removing any burrs or deformation. Slide the compatible press sleeve or fitting into position, insert the prepared 20 mm pipe fully into the press connection, and actuate a suitable hydraulic or mechanical press tool following the tool manufacturer’s instructions. Thread the 1/2" fitting or valve onto the male outlet and seal with appropriate tape or sealant if required by the installation practice. Verify alignment and check the assembled joint for leaks after press-fitting and system pressurization.
Use only press tools and jaws approved for multilayer/plastic pipe systems and follow local codes for potable water and heating installations. Avoid exposing the fitting to aggressive chemicals or prolonged immersion in corrosive environments. Inspect press joints visually and perform a pressure test after installation to confirm leak-tightness.
