Angle thermostatic valve Comap R858624 1/2" with preset M28
Angle thermostatic valve Comap R858624 1/2" with preset M28 is a compact radiator valve designed for right-angled installation on 1/2" connections. The valve integrates a thermostatic control spindle compatible with M28 heads and a factory-applied preset that limits the maximum flow during system commissioning. It is intended for use in residential and commercial hot-water heating systems where precise inlet temperature control and a small footprint at the radiator connection are required.
This angle thermostatic valve offers stable temperature regulation at the radiator inlet thanks to its thermostatic spindle compatible with M28 actuators. The factory preset simplifies commissioning by setting a maximum flow limit, reducing the need for manual balancing during initial setup. Its compact 90° angle body allows installation where space is limited and supports reliable operation in standard domestic and light commercial heating circuits.
Install the valve at the radiator inlet with the angle body oriented to match the pipe run, ensuring correct sealing of the 1/2" connections. Fit an M28 thermostatic head onto the spindle according to the head manufacturer's instructions. Use the preset spindle to set the desired maximum flow during system commissioning; this limits the radiator flow and helps achieve hydraulic balance. After setting the preset, operate the thermostatic head to regulate local room temperature.
Inspect sealing surfaces and use appropriate thread sealing materials during installation. During commissioning, adjust the preset gradually while monitoring radiator temperature and system pressure to achieve balanced heating. Use thermostatic heads compatible with M28 threads for full functionality and replace the valve if signs of corrosion or leakage appear.
