The D-Link DGS-1210-28/ME is a managed L2 Metro Ethernet switch with 24 Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) RJ-45 ports and SFP uplink capabilities. Designed for Metro Ethernet deployments and 1U rack mounting, the switch offers advanced Layer 2 features, surge protection, and a 56 Gbit/s switching capacity suitable for network edge and aggregation locations.

Advantages

The DGS-1210-28/ME supports standards-based resiliency including IEEE 802.1D (2004), 802.1w and 802.1s Spanning Tree Protocols and 802.3ad link aggregation to increase bandwidth and redundancy. QoS with 802.1p and eight hardware queues plus flexible packet classification (ToS/DSCP/MAC/IPv4/VLAN/TCP-UDP ports/protocol or user-defined content) enables prioritisation of real-time traffic such as VoIP and IPTV. Security features include 802.1X port/host authentication, RADIUS/TACACS+, guest VLAN, IP–MAC–Port binding and Access Control Lists. Built-in D-Link Safeguard Engine™ helps protect the CPU from broadcast, multicast and unicast flooding.
