Dahua Technology PoE SG1006P Unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet Switch 6 Ports PoE
Dahua Technology PoE SG1006P Unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet Switch 6 Ports PoE
The Dahua Technology PoE SG1006P Unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet Switch 6 Ports PoE is a compact desktop switch designed to deliver gigabit connectivity and Power over Ethernet (PoE) to networked devices. This unmanaged switch provides six Gigabit Ethernet ports, including four PoE-enabled ports and two uplink ports, a switching capacity of 14 Gbit/s and a MAC address table that stores up to 2000 entries. The device supports common IEEE networking standards and offers practical PoE features such as Hi-PoE 60W on a dedicated port, PoE Watchdog for automatic recovery, extend mode for long-distance transmission, and 8-pin simultaneous power supply compatibility.
The SG1006P combines full Gigabit speeds with PoE delivery to simplify installation of IP cameras, access points and other powered devices without separate power sources. Intelligent PoE management monitors and prioritizes power consumption to maintain stable operation and adapt to varying device power needs. Hi-PoE functionality supplies up to 60W on the orange port for higher-power devices. PoE Watchdog reduces the need for manual maintenance by detecting and restarting failed ports automatically. Extend Mode increases PoE transmission range where longer cable runs are required.
Place the SG1006P on a stable desktop or mount it according to the installation location and connect the uplink port to your router or switch using a Cat5e/Cat6 Ethernet cable. Connect PoE-powered devices to the PoE ports; the switch will automatically provide power following the supported PoE standard or Hi-PoE on the orange port when required. Use the device interface to enable or disable Extend Mode and PoE Watchdog if supported by the management options, and verify LEDs for link/activity and PoE status. For long-distance PoE, enable the extend setting and accept reduced bandwidth to reach distances up to 250 meters.
Position the switch in a ventilated area away from direct heat sources. Use quality shielded or unshielded Ethernet cables appropriate for the desired distance and bandwidth. When powering high-consumption devices, allocate the Hi-PoE port or check total available power budget to avoid overload. Enable PoE Watchdog to reduce manual reboots of connected IP devices and enable Extend Mode only when longer runs are necessary, understanding that bandwidth is limited to 10 Mbps at extended distances.
