Unmanaged Switch Dahua Technology PFS3110-8ET-96-V2
The Dahua Technology PFS3110-8ET-96-V2 is an unmanaged Fast Ethernet PoE switch designed for basic network aggregation and power delivery to connected devices. It provides eight 10/100 Mbps PoE Ethernet ports plus an additional uplink port and an SFP slot for flexible connectivity. With a switching capacity of 7.6 Gbit/s and an 8000-entry MAC address table, this compact black switch supports common IEEE networking standards and offers features for extended PoE reach, high-power PoE on a designated port, and automated port recovery.
The switch delivers combined data and power over Cat5/Cat6 cabling, enabling deployment of IP cameras, access points, and other powered devices without separate power supplies. One port supports higher-power output (IEEE 802.3bt / Hi‑PoE) to drive high-consumption devices, while PoE Watchdog and extend-mode options improve uptime by automatically detecting and restarting failed ports and allowing long-distance PoE transmission up to 250 m at reduced bandwidth. The unit is unmanaged, offering plug-and-play operation with standards-based interoperability.
Install the switch in a suitable ventilated location and connect the uplink port or SFP module to your network backbone. Plug PoE devices into the 10/100 PoE RJ‑45 ports to supply both data and power; use the designated red port for devices that require higher power budgets. Configure Extend Mode or long‑range PoE through the device web interface if longer cable runs are needed, and enable PoE Watchdog to allow automatic detection and restart of unresponsive ports. As an unmanaged device, no additional routing or VLAN configuration is required for basic operation.
For reliable operation, use quality Cat5e or Cat6 cables for PoE connections, verify device power requirements before connecting to the high‑power port, and ensure the total PoE load does not exceed the switch’s power budget. Place the switch in a protected, ventilated area and keep firmware and connected device configurations up to date where applicable.
