Danfoss 2-piece RAE/RLV-KS angle valve set 1/2" (blister) DWZ
Danfoss 2-piece RAE/RLV-KS angle valve set 1/2" (blister) DWZ is a compact valve pairing for hydronic heating systems. The set contains a radiator/pipe angle valve and a matching return (lockshield) valve with 1/2" connections, supplied in blister packaging. It is designed for regulation of flow to individual radiators and for manual balancing of heating circuits in residential and light commercial installations. The components are compatible with standard 1/2" threaded radiator and pipe connections and intended for both replacement and new installation work.
The angle valve set provides straightforward flow control and circuit balancing without the need for additional adapters. Its two-piece arrangement allows independent adjustment of supply and return connections, simplifying radiator maintenance and replacement. Delivered as a matched pair in protective blister packaging, the set ensures component compatibility and convenient handling on site.
Shut down the heating system and drain the section of the circuit before replacing or installing the valves. Mount the angle valve on the radiator inlet and the return valve on the radiator outlet or pipework, using the standard 1/2" threaded connections. Ensure sealing with appropriate PTFE tape or sealing compound where required and tighten to the recommended torque for threaded fittings. After installation, refill and vent the heating circuit, then adjust the valves to achieve the desired radiator temperature and perform manual balancing across the system.
Use the set for matched supply and return control; verify thread compatibility with existing fittings and follow local plumbing and heating regulations. For persistent leaks, incorrect fit or if automatic thermostatic control is required, consult a heating professional or consider compatible thermostatic valve options.
