Network Cable DATACOM FTP Wire CAT5E 100m Outdoor Black
Network Cable DATACOM FTP Wire CAT5E 100m Outdoor Black
Network Cable DATACOM FTP Wire CAT5E 100m Outdoor Black is an outdoor-rated FTP Cat5e cable on a 100 m roll, designed for structured cabling where environmental protection is required. The cable uses 4 pairs of solid copper conductors with overall foil shielding and a UV-resistant PE jacket, allowing operation in temperatures from -20 °C to +70 °C. It is supplied as a 100 m length wrapped in foil without a spool and is intended for outdoor installations that demand increased durability compared with standard indoor patch cables.
The cable combines CAT5e performance with FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and improve signal integrity. A PE outer jacket provides enhanced resistance to weathering and UV exposure, extending service life in outdoor conditions. Solid copper conductors (24 AWG) ensure stable transmission characteristics for data and network applications.
Strip the outer PE jacket and foil shield carefully when preparing cable ends to preserve the integrity of the conductors and shielding. Terminate the solid 24 AWG conductors with suitable outdoor-rated RJ45 connectors or use a bulkhead/patch panel designed for solid-core CAT5e. Route the cable using appropriate outdoor cable management (conduits, clips, or trays) and avoid sharp bends to maintain performance.
For best long-term performance, install the cable with proper strain relief, avoid prolonged water pooling on joints, and use outdoor-rated glands and connectors where the cable enters enclosures. If additional protection is needed, consider running the cable inside conduit or using a UV-resistant duct.
