DATACOM Patch cord FTP Cat6 gray 2m shielded copper network cable

The DATACOM Patch cord FTP Cat6 gray 2m shielded copper network cable is a reliable solution for connecting networking equipment in home and office environments. Measuring 2 meters in length, this gray patch cable utilizes Category 6 standards to ensure stable data transmission. Constructed with copper conductors and integrated shielding, it minimizes signal interference, providing a dependable link for computers, routers, switches, and other Ethernet-enabled devices.

Advantages

This shielded Cat6 patch cable features pure copper construction which supports high-performance data transfer and long-term durability. The FTP shielding effectively protects against electromagnetic interference and radio frequency interference, maintaining signal integrity even in electromagnetically noisy environments. Its 2-meter length offers an optimal balance between flexibility and cable management, reducing excess clutter while easily reaching nearby network ports.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers and laptops to wall outlets or switches
• Linking routers, modems, and network switches in small office setups
• Setting up stable wired connections for IP cameras and network printers
• Reducing signal degradation in environments with high electronic interference

When it may not be suitable

This cable is not designed for long-distance outdoor installations or direct burial without proper protective conduits. Additionally, the 2-meter length may be insufficient for connecting devices located across large rooms or multiple floors.

Key specifications

• Cable type: FTP Cat6 patch cord
• Length: 2 meters
• Color: Gray
• Conductor material: Copper
• Shielding: Shielded (FTP)

How to use

Insert one RJ45 connector of the patch cord into the network port of your active device, such as a computer, router, or switch, until you hear a secure click. Route the cable carefully without bending it sharply or placing heavy objects on top of it. Connect the opposite end to the corresponding network socket or patch panel port to establish your wired internet connection.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that a 2-meter length is sufficient for the distance between your networked devices
• Check if your network infrastructure requires shielded FTP cables for interference protection
• Confirm that your equipment utilizes standard RJ45 Ethernet ports

Usage recommendations: Avoid tightly coiling or pinching the cable during installation to maintain optimal signal performance and extend the lifespan of the copper conductors.
