Keystone jack DATACOM 4010 Cat5E UTP, single-port, white
Keystone jack DATACOM 4010 Cat5E UTP is a single-port, white keystone connector for terminating unshielded twisted-pair (UTP) Ethernet cables. It supports Category 5e performance for data and voice networks and is intended for use in structured cabling installations such as wall plates, patch panels and keystone modules. The compact snap-in design enables straightforward mounting in compatible housings for residential and small office environments.
The DATACOM 4010 offers a standard Cat5E UTP termination with a 110-style punchdown field and a housing shaped for keystone panels. Its unshielded design reduces complexity in typical Ethernet installations, while the single-port format simplifies replacements and additions. The white finish matches common faceplates and provides a discreet appearance in visible installations.
Prepare the UTP cable by stripping the outer sheath to expose the twisted pairs. Separate and align pairs according to the required wiring scheme (T568A or T568B). Insert each conductor into the corresponding 110-style slot on the keystone jack and use a 110 punchdown tool to terminate the wires. Snap the keystone jack into the selected wall plate, patch panel or keystone module and test the link with appropriate network testing equipment.
Use a proper 110 punchdown tool for reliable terminations and verify continuity and pair mapping after installation. Keep cable runs within Category 5e length limits and avoid routing near strong electromagnetic interference sources to maintain signal quality.
