RJ45 STP Cat5e 8P8C Connector by DATACOM, pack of 100
RJ45 STP Cat5e 8P8C Connector by DATACOM, pack of 100
Shielded RJ45 (8P8C) connector for terminating Cat5e stranded network cables. Supplied by DATACOM in a pack of 100, this STP connector provides metal shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and ensures reliable electrical contact for Ethernet cabling applications.
Metal shielding improves protection against external electromagnetic interference. Designed for Cat5e stranded (lanko) cables with an 8-position, 8-contact configuration. Supplied in a bulk pack of 100 for repeat installations or repairs, ensuring consistent termination quality and reliable connectivity.
Strip the cable jacket and arrange the conductor pairs according to the chosen wiring standard (T568A or T568B). Insert the individual conductors fully into the RJ45 STP connector so that each wire reaches its respective contact and the cable shield makes contact with the connector's metal housing. Use an appropriate crimping tool designed for shielded RJ45 connectors to crimp and secure the connector. Test the terminated cable with a network cable tester to verify continuity and correct pair wiring.
For best results use with Cat5e stranded cables and a compatible crimping tool for STP connectors. Ensure the cable shield is properly folded back and in contact with the connector housing to maintain shielding effectiveness. Verify wiring standard before crimping and test each cable after termination.
