DATACOM 4204 is a compact inline Cat5E connector with three RJ45 8P8C female ports. The device provides parallel splitting of a single Ethernet or telephone signal into multiple physical RJ45 sockets without switching or independent port operation. It is intended for simple joining, temporary extensions, quick repairs or testing in home and small office environments where only one active connection at a time is required.
The connector offers a small, tool-free inline solution for extending or duplicating an RJ45 line. It supports standard Cat5E pin wiring across all three ports and is easy to install by plugging existing cables into the female RJ45 sockets. The unit is useful when a fast, low-cost physical split of a single line is needed and does not replace an Ethernet switch or hub.
Connect an existing RJ45 cable to the input port and plug the required cables or devices into the other RJ45 female sockets. Since the device performs a parallel split, only one of the connected endpoints can actively use the signal at a time. Ensure wiring matches standard Cat5E pin assignment on all connected cables. The unit is plug-and-play and requires no power or configuration.
Do not use this connector as a substitute for a network switch or to attempt simultaneous independent Ethernet connections. For reliable simultaneous network access, use a switch or router. For telephone applications, expect the same incoming call to ring on all split endpoints and limited simultaneous use.
