Sleeve for RJ45 connector DATACOM model 4302 blue/white, pack of 10
Sleeve for RJ45 connector DATACOM model 4302 blue/white, pack of 10
Sleeve for RJ45 connector DATACOM model 4302 in blue/white is a pack of 10 plastic protective boots designed for standard 8P8C (RJ45) plugs. These sleeves provide strain relief, basic insulation and protection against dust and mechanical wear for terminated Ethernet cables. The low-profile design preserves access to the connector latch so the plug can be inserted and removed freely while giving a neat, uniform finish compatible with professional patching and on-site cable termination.
The DATACOM 4302 sleeve protects the connector and the cable jacket from kinks and abrasion, helping to extend the life of the termination. Its form factor does not interfere with the latch mechanism, which maintains reliable connector retention and easy handling. Supplied as a pack of 10, the sleeves offer a consistent, tidy appearance for patch panels, wall outlets and field repairs. The lightweight plastic construction is suitable for regular network cabling tasks where CAT5e cable compatibility is required.
After crimping an RJ45 plug onto a CAT5e cable, slide the sleeve over the plug until it seats against the plug body so the latch remains unobstructed. Ensure the boot fully covers the rear of the connector and the cable jacket to provide strain relief at the termination point. No special tools are required: the sleeve is pushed into place by hand and remains secure during normal use and patching operations.
Use these sleeves with CAT5e cables only; they are not suitable for thicker cables such as CAT6 where the sleeve will not fit correctly. For installations requiring higher category cables or additional shielding, select boots specifically sized for those cable types. Store unused sleeves in a dry environment and inspect boots for damage before installation to ensure reliable protection.
