Datwyler networking cable S/FTP 2 m, RJ-45–RJ-45, black, F/UTP (FTP)
Datwyler networking cable S/FTP 2 m, terminated with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, provides a compact, shielded connection for Ethernet links and patching tasks. The cable uses overall foil shielding combined with individually shielded twisted pairs (S/FTP) to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, making it suitable for short-distance links in offices, server rooms and home networks. The 2 m length and standard RJ-45 male connectors ensure compatibility with switches, routers, patch panels and network devices that accept 8P8C plugs.
The S/FTP construction with overall foil plus individually shielded pairs offers enhanced protection against external noise compared with unshielded cables, improving signal integrity under typical office and data-center conditions. The 2 m cable length minimizes excess slack in patching scenarios while providing sufficient reach for most rack-to-desk or equipment-to-switch connections. Standard RJ-45 terminations on both ends enable plug-and-play installation without the need for additional adapters.
Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network device (for example a switch, router or network port of a computer) and the other connector into the corresponding port on the destination device or patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks. Avoid sharp bends or kinks near the terminations and route the cable away from high-power electrical sources where possible to maintain shielding effectiveness. For installations in rack environments, use cable organizers to keep the 2 m cable tidy and prevent strain on the connectors.
For best performance, verify that connected devices support the intended Ethernet speed and negotiate link parameters after installation. In areas with high electromagnetic interference, maintain cable grounding practices and avoid bundling shielded and unshielded cables together to preserve shielding benefits.
