Socket-outlet RJ-45 Dätwyler Cables 418061
The Dätwyler Cables 418061 RJ-45 socket-outlet is a shielded keystone module designed for transmission of digital and analogue voice, video and data signals up to 500 MHz. It complies with the component standard IEC 60603-7-51 and is suitable for use with shielded Category 6A, 7 and 7A cabling to support 10‑gigabit Ethernet in accordance with IEEE 802.3. The module supports Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) per IEEE 802.3at and features a robust zinc die-cast housing with a 360° metal shield for fully shielded installations.
The module provides tested performance up to 500 MHz and allows acceptance testing with margin for Class EA Permanent Links when paired with appropriate shielded cables. A gold-plated phosphor-bronze contact spring ensures reliable signal contact, while the reusable design, integrated moveable housing wings and tool-less IDC connections simplify installation. Additional features include strain relief via cable tie, potential balancing capability at the module, and a removable black dust shutter; colour accessory sets are available separately.
Install the module into a compatible keystone panel or outlet using the mounting clip. Prepare the shielded cable and follow the wire manager layout; insert conductors into the IDC slots and use the integrated moveable wings to secure tool-less connections. Trim excess conductor length with a flat wire cutter only. Connect cable shield and perform potential balancing at the module if required. Secure strain relief with a cable tie and close the removable dust shutter when the port is not in use.
For guaranteed Class EA performance during acceptance testing, pair the module with certified shielded Cat6A, Cat7 or Cat7A cables and follow IEEE 802.3 installation practices for 10GBASE-T and PoE+ applications. Use appropriate grounding and shielding continuity measures when installing in structured cabling systems.
