Dedra digging fork with a 120 cm wooden shaft and a D-shaped plastic handle (model 80C017) is a garden tool designed for loosening soil, aerating beds and handling compost. The tool combines a long wooden truncheon for reach and leverage with a molded D-grip that improves control during lifting and turning tasks. The fork’s robust tines are intended for penetrating medium-density soils and extracting roots, stones or clumps while reducing strain on the user thanks to the extended shaft length.
The combination of a 120 cm wooden shaft and a D-shaped plastic handle gives a balance of reach, leverage and comfortable grip. Wooden shaft provides natural shock absorption and adequate rigidity for common garden tasks, while the plastic D-handle enables a secure two-handed hold during digging and turning. The fork’s tine design allows efficient penetration and lifting of soil, roots and compost without complex assembly or additional accessories.
Position the fork with the tines facing the soil, grasping the D-handle with one hand and the shaft nearer the middle with the other to control pressure and direction. Push the tines into the ground using body weight and a steady downward motion, then lever back to lift soil, roots or stones. For turning compost, insert the tines and rotate or lift sections to mix materials evenly. When working in compacted areas, make successive insertions along the target area and break up clods gradually to avoid excessive force on the shaft and handle.
Use the fork on appropriate soil types and avoid excessive levering against immovable objects. Inspect the wooden shaft and plastic D-handle periodically for cracks or loosened connections; replace the tool if structural damage appears. Clean off soil and debris after use and store in a dry place to extend the life of the wooden shaft.
