Sealant Tape Deka Alubutyl roofing 15 cm x 10 m anthracite
Sealant Tape Deka Alubutyl roofing 15 cm x 10 m anthracite
Deka Alubutyl roofing sealant tape is a self-adhesive butyl-based membrane in anthracite color, 15 cm wide and 10 m long, designed for sealing roof joints, flashings and overlaps. The tape adheres to metal, bitumen and many construction substrates to provide durable waterproofing and reliable adhesion for repair, detailing and preventative sealing work on roofs. Its anthracite finish blends with darker roof surfaces while the flexible butyl composition conforms to irregular profiles and minor surface imperfections.
The tape combines a high-strength butyl adhesive with an aluminium-reinforced top layer that improves UV resistance and mechanical protection. Being self-adhesive, it eliminates the need for solvents or additional adhesives during installation and forms an immediate waterproof barrier. The flexible membrane maintains adhesion under thermal movement and provides long-term resistance to water ingress and sealing failure on roof details.
Ensure the substrate is clean, dry and free from loose material, oil or dust. Measure and cut the required length of tape, peel off the release liner and press the tape firmly onto the substrate, smoothing out any trapped air or wrinkles. Apply uniform pressure along the tape to achieve full contact; use a roller where possible for best adhesion. Overlap adjacent strips as required to form a continuous waterproof seal and trim excess material with a sharp knife. For cold conditions, store and warm the tape briefly before application to improve conformability.
For long-term performance, apply to sound, prepared substrates and avoid installation during heavy rain or on visibly wet surfaces. Use a hand roller to ensure consistent contact and consider additional mechanical fasteners at exposed edges on high-wind locations. Periodically inspect sealed areas and re-apply or replace tape where signs of loss of adhesion or damage are observed.
