Docking station Dell WD15 180W Wired USB‑C (USB 3.2 Gen 1) with 3.5 mm and Gigabit Ethernet, Black
The Dell WD15 180W Wired USB-C docking station provides single-cable connectivity for compatible laptops and tablets using a USB‑C (USB 3.2 Gen 1 / 3.1 Gen 1) host interface. Designed to expand a workspace with power delivery, video output and wired networking, the black dock delivers up to 180W from its DC power adapter and supports DisplayPort over USB‑C for dual Full HD displays or a single 4K display at 30Hz. It also integrates a 3.5 mm audio connector, Gigabit Ethernet and a Kensington lock slot to secure the unit.
The WD15 consolidates power, video and peripheral connections into one reliable USB‑C link, reducing cable clutter and simplifying workstation setup. Its compact footprint makes it suitable for small desks and shared work areas while retaining the ability to charge Dell devices up to 130W and many non‑Dell devices up to 60W. Built‑in Gigabit Ethernet and multiple USB ports enable fast wired network access and connection of keyboards, mice, storage and audio devices.
Connect the docking station to AC power using the included 180W adapter, then attach the DisplayPort over USB‑C cable to the USB‑C port on your laptop or tablet that supports data, video and power. Connect monitors to the dock, plug in USB peripherals and connect a network cable to the Gigabit Ethernet port as required. Lock the dock using a Kensington cable if desired. After the first connection, the host system should detect displays, audio and network interfaces automatically; drivers or firmware updates from the system manufacturer may be required for full compatibility.
For reliable video and power delivery, use the DisplayPort over USB‑C cable supplied with the dock and ensure your laptop’s USB‑C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and power delivery. When using dual Full HD displays or a single 4K display, verify display resolution and refresh rate settings in your operating system. Keep firmware and drivers for both the dock and host system up to date to maintain compatibility and performance.
