Delta G-8B/R is a rack-mountable patch panel that provides eight BNC ports for coaxial video and audio connections. Designed for broadcast, CCTV and AV systems, the panel centralizes BNC-terminated coax cabling to simplify signal routing, maintenance and expansion. Its standardized BNC connectors allow direct connection of common coax cables for distribution, patching and temporary reconfiguration of video or composite audio lines.
The compact 1U rack form factor optimizes space in equipment racks while keeping eight BNC connections readily accessible from the front. Standard BNC connectors ensure compatibility with widely used coaxial cables and test equipment. A durable metal housing provides mechanical protection for connectors and cables, and the organized front-panel layout reduces cable clutter and makes tracing and swapping lines faster during installation and service.
Mount the panel in a standard 19-inch equipment rack using the provided mounting holes or screws. Route each BNC-terminated coax cable to the corresponding front connector and push the BNC plug onto the socket until it locks. Use the panel to consolidate incoming and outgoing coax runs for distribution or to create temporary patch connections between equipment. For maintenance, disconnect the required BNC plugs at the front to reassign or isolate signals without accessing the rear of rack-mounted devices.
Use high-quality BNC-terminated coax cables and maintain proper cable bends to preserve signal integrity. Label both ends of coax runs when installing to speed up identification. When working with live broadcast or surveillance signals, power down equipment where applicable before swapping connections to avoid transient noise or damage.
